About Isabelle

I’m Isabelle von Burg, an EHL graduate and former General Manager of the iconic Lausanne Palace, with over 20 years of international leadership experience in luxury hospitality. My career has taken me across world-class brands including Four Seasons, The Ritz-Carlton, Mandarin Oriental and Jumeirah, where I have led hotel openings, rebrandings and cultural transformations in diverse global contexts.

Throughout these years, I experienced firsthand what truly drives service excellence and long-term performance. Beyond systems and standards, it is people who shape culture, elevate experiences and sustain success. Yet I also saw how often emerging leaders are expected to perform without enough guidance, support or space to grow.

This conviction led me to create Next-Gen Hospitality Leaders (NGHL). NGHL was founded to support emerging talent during the most defining moments of their professional journey, equipping them with the confidence, clarity and human skills needed to thrive in real-world leadership environments.

Today, I combine my operational background in high-end hospitality with a human-centric coaching approach to support organisations and individuals in developing resilient leaders, strengthening retention and building authentic leadership cultures from the inside out.

Why NGHL?

Next-Gen Hospitality Leaders was created to support one of the most critical moments in a young professional’s journey: the transition from education to the professional world.

Too often, talented graduates and interns enter the workplace without the confidence, clarity or power skills needed to thrive. NGHL exists to provide structured, human support during this phase, helping emerging leaders step into their careers with resilience and real-world readiness.

Built on senior hospitality leadership experience, NGHL offers a safe, external space for growth through mentoring, coaching and peer connection, focusing on the power skills that make the difference early on.

Through the Next-Gen Future Leaders Fund, 10% of all NGHL profits are reinvested to support young, high-potential talents in developing countries.
